Formulaica was founded by Arriel, with a vision of creating a brand that showcases the beauty of nature infused with the precision of science.
To achieve this, we have chosen a color palette consisting of dark green, teal, purple, warm neutrals, and a touch of metallic gold. The dark green color adds a rich and bold touch to the brand, while also giving it an organic feel. Teal represents transformation, communication, and creativity, while purple gives the brand a sense of luxury and glamour. We are using warm neutral colors ranging from cream, and light tan, to warm brown, which will ground the bolder colors and create a sophisticated, timeless, and organic style.
The logo of Formulaica reflects sophistication and glamour. It features a serif font with distinct curves, lending a high-end and unique style. The font is complemented by a clean and timeless san-serif font below. The symbol design is a combination of beakers and foliage, creating an organic and scientific vibe.

Dr. Arriel Cymone received her first chemistry set when she was 7 years old. She would play with it in the driveway of their home. It amazed her how she could create something beautiful through chemical reactions.
Dr. Arriel’s love for chemistry has stood the test of time. She was a star chemistry student in high school, undergrad, and grad school. Her research included organic synthesis of nanoparticles for detection and treatment of diseases. This is also when she began formulating makeup with her college buddy.
She went on to have an amazing career in different areas of chemistry. She worked as a forensic chemist for the DEA. She has also worked in environmental, toxicology, and pharmaceutical laboratories.
