Melissa and Fernando, the founders of Unclipped Wings, aimed to create a brand that is both timeless and luxurious. They drew inspiration from softer color palettes.
To bring their vision to life, we chose a color palette featuring shades of blue, blush, and classic neutrals. The blue evokes a sophisticated feel and symbolizes professionalism, while the blush adds a touch of femininity and creates a soft ambiance. The classic neutrals, which range from charcoal grey to cream, enhance the brand’s light and airy vibe.
The logo is designed to be both sophisticated and timeless, prominently featuring an abstract bird symbol that references the business’s name, “Unclipped Wings.” The main font used in the logo is a delicate, high-end serif typeface with varying weights within the letters, conveying elegance. This is paired with a clean, modern sans-serif font for the tagline below.

Melissa and Fernando Rosa are the Co-Owners of Unclipped Wings, a boutique travel advisory in Okoboji, IA, dedicated to crafting personalized, unforgettable travel experiences.
Melissa’s passion for travel stems from exploring over 60 countries during six years of nomadic living, immersing herself in diverse cultures and landscapes. Her wealth of firsthand knowledge allows her to design heartfelt, tailored itineraries that reflect her deep enthusiasm for the transformative power of travel.
Fernando’s love for travel began in São Paulo, Brazil, during his career as a professional tennis player. After earning a U.S. college tennis scholarship, he pursued a successful career in banking and international operations, gaining a Bachelor’s in Business and an MBA.
In 2021, the couple founded Unclipped Wings, blending Melissa’s creative vision with Fernando’s detail-oriented planning. Together, they help clients explore the world, create lifelong memories, and connect with new cultures.
