Heather Lane Chauny is the founder of Heather Lane Adventures, a travel company built around her belief in “Travel Global, Live Local.” With experience living and working in Costa Rica and South Africa and travels spanning 45+ countries, Heather brings firsthand destination knowledge and a deep curiosity about the world to every trip she designs.
Before launching Heather Lane Adventures, she spent more than 20 years leading fundraising and strategy teams for international nonprofits, developing the strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and relationship-building skills she now brings to travel planning. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with conversational Isi-Zulu, Heather prioritizes genuine cultural connection, respect for nature, and supporting local communities in the journeys she creates.
